Mine's been frozen for a few days now. Had a warm day today and it opened as normal. If I had needed it, I would have stuck a torch into the bottom vent and lit the lump left from the last cook.…1 · -

Lump pieces too small, crammed together too snuggly and air can't flow properly. Not necessarily the BGE lump, could happen with any brand.1 · -

IMO, you don't need a controller for a turkey. Seems to me if you can't get an egg to 350-450° and keep it there for 3-4 hours without a crutch, you should just cook burgers on a gasser!!2 · -
